By creating an account on HumDono (the "Service") or using any part of it, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

HumDono is built and operated by Alok Bhalke, an individual sole-trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "the operator"). There is no company — HumDono is one person running a personal project for himself, his family, and a small number of paying users.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of your country of residence.

You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure (HumDono uses Google Sign-In). If your Google account is compromised, your HumDono account may be too.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for the data you enter — we don't verify it.

HumDono is a personal finance tracker for individuals, with optional partner sharing. It helps you record and visualise data you enter yourself, including income, expenses, savings, investments, EMIs, taxes, cash balances, and trade journal entries. It supports multiple currencies (₹, £, $, €, and others) for users tracking finances across India and abroad.

HumDono is not:

• A SEBI-registered investment advisor (India) or FCA-regulated financial adviser (UK) — we do not give specific buy/sell recommendations
• A chartered accountant — we surface tax data but do not file your taxes
• A bank, e-money institution, or payment platform — we do not hold or move money
• A financial advisor — informational features (allocation analysis, tax holding period flags, AI insights, currency conversions, etc.) are educational, not personalised advice

You make your own financial decisions. We are not liable for losses from decisions made using information shown in HumDono. Always verify with your bank statements, broker reports, and tax professionals.

You agree not to:

• Use HumDono for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another household's data without authorisation
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the service
• Use HumDono to facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, or fraud
• Resell or redistribute the service or its data

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

You own the data you enter. We make no claim of ownership over your financial records. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

You can export your data at any time (Settings → Account → Export my data) and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete account). See the Privacy Policyfor full details on your data rights under UK GDPR and India's DPDP Act, 2023.

HumDono can be used solo or with a partner. If you choose to invite a partner via the 6-digit invite code, both of you can read and edit shared finance data. By generating an invite code or accepting one, you confirm that the partner has consented to share financial data with you.

Either partner can unlink at any time. On unlinking, both retain a copy of all data as it stood at the moment of unlinking.

HumDono is free to use during early access. Core features will remain free for existing users.

For users who wish to support the project, an optional paid tier is available at the operator's discretion:

• ₹600 per year for users in India (paid via UPI)
• £5 per year for users in the UK and globally (paid via PayPal)

Payment is one-time per year — there is no automatic renewal. Payments are non-refundable for partial year usage. Friends and family members may be granted free access at the operator's discretion. The operator reserves the right to change pricing for future periods with at least 30 days' notice.

Payments are processed by third parties (your UPI provider, or PayPal). We do not store payment card or bank account details. See the Privacy Policy for information on payment data.

We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to give 30 days' notice for major changes via in-app notice or email.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages (Google Cloud, Firebase, Vercel, Anthropic), and other events may cause temporary downtime. As a personal project run by one individual, occasional service interruptions should be expected.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. We'll usually try to notify you first unless the violation is severe (fraud, abuse, security threat).

We may also discontinue the Service entirely at any time, with at least 30 days' notice via email, during which you can export your data.

HumDono is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that calculations are accurate enough for tax filing or investment decisions, or that the service will be available without interruption.

Charts, totals, and currency conversions are computed from data you provide and from manually-set exchange rates; we make a best effort but rounding errors, FX rate staleness, and edge cases occur. Always verify critical figures against your authoritative source (bank statements, broker reports, tax forms).

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law (e.g. the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 for UK users) that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alok Bhalke (the operator of HumDono) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including financial losses arising from decisions made using information in HumDono.

Our total cumulative liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months — which, if the Service is free to you, equals zero, and if you are on the paid tier, equals ₹600 / £5.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Consumer rights under UK or EU law that cannot be waived remain unaffected.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alok Bhalke from claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by the law of your country of residence, where applicable consumer-protection law mandates this. Specifically:

• If you reside in the UK: these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. You retain any rights under UK consumer law that cannot be waived by contract.
• If you reside in the EU: these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales for matters not covered by mandatory EU consumer protection; the courts of your country of residence have jurisdiction over consumer disputes.
• If you reside in India: these Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes may be resolved through good-faith mediation first; failing that, through binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
• For all other users: these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Before any formal dispute, we ask that you first contact us at vaayusahas@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Most things can be sorted out with a polite email.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email and an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with a change, you may delete your account before it takes effect.
